Lombard Jr., makes first impression

The Yankees finally called up their much-talked-about future shortstop, George Lombard Jr.

In his first MLB game, he showed off some good glove work and his bat by hitting his first MLB home run. Now, he has an official Topps Now card, which has a synopsis of his first game. Here it is:

Yankee Stadium was rocking with excitement in anticipation of George Lombard Jr.’s MLB debut, and he did not disappoint. The New York Yankees top prospect and starting shortstop followed up a nifty double play with a solo shot to left field for his first career hit. Lombard became the third-youngest franchise player (21 years, 63 days) to go yard in his big-league debut.
